Privacy policy
1. What arc-menu does
arc-menu brings together the daily menus published by restaurants around you. The menus are collected from the public sources of the establishments (their websites and online menus), formatted and cached for 24 hours. No menu is made up: we display a real menu found online, with the time at which it was checked, or we state that it is unavailable.
2. The data we process

We collect no advertising data, use no third-party trackers, set no advertising cookies and resell nothing.
3. Third-party services that see your IP address
To display the map and the layout, your browser or the app loads resources from third parties, which therefore see your IP address and what is requested:
- Google Maps (website map) — the map is displayed with Google Maps by default: when it is displayed, your browser loads the map from Google's servers, which see your IP address and the area displayed (Google's privacy policy).
- Fallback base maps — if Google Maps is unavailable (key missing or refused), the map uses public base maps; the tiles requested reveal the area displayed. The provider depends on the area: swisstopo (Federal Office of Topography,
wmts.geo.admin.ch) in Switzerland and Liechtenstein ; IGN (data.geopf.fr) in France ; basemap.de (BKG,sgx.geodatenzentrum.de) in Germany ; basemap.at (mapsneu.wien.gv.at) in Austria ; OpenStreetMap elsewhere. © swisstopo · © IGN · © basemap.de / BKG · basemap.at (CC BY 4.0) · © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL). - Google Fonts, unpkg (Leaflet), cdnjs (Font Awesome) — fonts and style sheets, website only. The mobile app embeds its fonts and does not call these services.
- Restaurant websites — only if you click on their link; the click goes through a short link on our server (audience measurement without personal identifier), then you are redirected.
4. Hosting and applicable law
Our servers are hosted in Switzerland (Infomaniak). Processing complies with the new Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP). For the website map, Google Maps by default; as a fallback, the base maps named in point 3 (swisstopo in Switzerland).
5. Your rights
You may at any time: refuse or withdraw geolocation permission (browser or device settings); delete your favourites and preferences (browser settings; uninstalling or app settings); request access to, rectification or deletion of your account and related data by writing to contact@axionyx.io. We reply within 30 days.
6. Minors
arc-menu is not specifically aimed at children and does not knowingly collect data from children.
7. Changes
This policy may change along with the service; the date at the top prevails. In the event of a significant change, the information is displayed in the app and on the website.
